Experience Willingen

Our climatic health resort Willingen is located in the beautiful low mountain landscape in the northeastern part of the Rothaar Mountains. Our Hotel Hochsauerland 2010 is located on the southern slope, surrounded by green hills and yet only ten minutes from the town center.

Here are some suggestions for things to do with friends and family, whatever the weather.

Diemelsee Nature Park

The highest mountains in the Sauerland, mostly wide valleys, deep forests alternating with meadows and fields determine the image of the Diemelsee Nature Park. Colorful deciduous and mixed forests, but also dark spruce forests, spread across about half of the area. In between you will find fields and pastures, colorful flower meadows, crystal-clear streams, heather-colored high heaths and, in the middle of it all, the Diemelsee.

The nature park is located about 13km northeast of Willingen, easily accessible via the K63. Parking facilities and gastronomic offers, such as the “Ferry house at Diemelsee” can be found on site.

Adventure golf at the viaduct

You will find the adventure golf course directly under Willingen's landmark, the railway viaduct. On 18 varied natural holes, just like normal mini golf, the aim is to put the ball in with as few strokes as possible. Thanks to the original obstacles and the wonderful, natural setting, the Pacours offers fun for young and old. The spacious lanes mean that strollers and wheelchair users can also be taken onto the field, and older people have back-friendly rackets with ball suction cups. But even the little ones don't miss out; rackets are of course available in every size.

This means that nothing stands in the way of a family or friends duel.
